Video of the Week: Sound of Music Moment

We all need to take a moment occasionally.  Okay some need days.  Imagine you’re rushing to work via the public transportation system and when you’re running to your train (which hopefully won’t crash like a MBTA Commuter) you begin to hear a joyful voice.

Julie Andrews is not announcing delays or that beer is not served until after ten in the morning but she is singing like any bad nun-in-training could.

Watch this delightful and I believe advertising ploy that went down in Belgium.  Because they get down there.  Especially, the man that begins the dance-a-thon, he was doing triple axles at least.

“Eliza, please let the readers watch the video.  They don’t know how lucky they are to watch it without a tone-deaf mutant ant chiming in.”

Oh yeah!  At least they-

Video of the Week: Bay Bridge Gets Twisted

There are a few videos up of driving Bay Bridge (it reopened yesterday after a scheduled maintenance plus an emergency fix) on YouTube.  My human wanted to watch dancing people in train stations but this reminded me of playing car games.  Like Road Rage, without the rage, Homer Simpson, points or bumper cars.

Ooh here’s one with words:

All About: Miyazaki

Here at Opinionated Ant, we love Hayao Miyazaki.  We are not the only ones who like to talk about the Japanese animator, filmmaker, creative extraordinaire.  Some people run niche sites completely dedicated to the man and his works.

“Eliza, was that a dig that your site is niche-less?  Because it is your blog, I’m just the translator!”

This post can not really even begin to tell you all about this complicated man so here are a few sites and posts that will help you delve into all things Miyazaki.  Do you have a favorite post or site?  Leave the link in comments.

“Often…as in frequently.”

Video of the Week: Insects

In keeping with today’s Ant Facts post here is a macro video of insects found in a South Florida apartment on a typical summer day.

How many insects can you name?

Video of the Week: Resistance Is Futile

Sorry if I got any trekkie fans hopes up. The first dancer many have some far out moves but as of yet has not be classified alien. Don’t you wish your girlfriend could dance like that…

It’s great when the third guy, not only starts dancing, but the way the second guy reacts.

It’s fitting that our first Video of the Week, my human picks a Hayao Miyazaki film.
She’s obsessed.
“Not true.  I happen to like-“
Sorry for interrupting you human, but, you are the one who’s added Totoro lunch accessories to your Amazon Wish List aren’t you?
“Well, I need a lunch box.”

”They’re for my hair?”
